Re: windows xp on dv5t - all drivers installed
The quicktouch volume control is a pain really. Even in vista I have troubles, after I stop touching the volume control, it keeps the visual indicator on screen and plays the sound for several seconds as if I'm still pressing it. I've had your problem too and it just seems to be an issue that appears now and then.

Re: windows xp on dv5t - all drivers installed
I see there is a new version of DigialPersona Personal, 4.0 out now. It apparently supports Vista and XP according to their press release. Since DP P 3.01 came with Vista, I'm guessing 4.0 would work on XP with our hardware. Unfortunately, you need to buy it. Has anyone purchased it and can confirm if it works or not?

Re: windows xp on dv5t - all drivers installed
GRR... I'm almost done. Dual booting with Vista. Have all devices recognized in XP Pro...except for the stupid Audio Device on HD audio bus thing which is definitely the HDMI audio. My regular XP sound works. Frankly, this is not a show stopper, It just bothers me. I backed up my SwSetup to a dvd and when I point xp to search it for the driver it does not find it. I think i've read this whole thread 3 times. Gah!!! please help.

Re: windows xp on dv5t - all drivers installed
My model is DV5-1034TX with P7350, 4GB RAM, 250GB HDD, 15.4" screen, hybrid TV tuner etc.
I followed as much as the guides from here as possible and my XP installation is now left with 2 devices with "?".
1. Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus
2. Unknown device
Also, my "mute" button doesn't toggle when pressed.
Can someone help? Thanks in advance.
Forgot to mention that I am on SP3.Last edited by xyzabcxx; 10th December 2008 at 12:31 AM.

The mute function will work, however it will stay orange.
