Re: NOW AVAILABLE: ENVY 17-32XX Intel Ivy Bridge (AMD 7850M)
The WIFI is freakin awesome. The range on the 2.4 GHz is outstanding and I'm getting 20 Mbps down, on the 5GHz the range seems to be a little better than average and I'm getting 15-16 Mbps down (expected it to be faster than the 2.4 GHz as it is more congested on my network). Either way these are great numbers for my WIFI network which is fairly decent and range is great.

Re: NOW AVAILABLE: ENVY 17-32XX Intel Ivy Bridge (AMD 7850M)
Hi to everybody!
New to the forum and just got my Envy 17 3200 CTO laptop.
I was following this forum for the time I was waiting for my Envy, and I have to say I was lucky to have fast production and shipping, everything took less then two weeks, got it with no cosmetic or any other issues (actualy I just noticed that I have squeaky backspace, damn it!
Anyhow, after Asus G74, which was soooo unfinished product, this little flaw is no big deal.
I installed SSD drive, did clean OS install and found out that some things are missing and couldnt be found on hp website, like HP Media Smart which gives you that cool beats logo animation when using volume knob.
I was to lazy to make recovery discs (actualy I had only 3 empty dvd's, and that thing requires 5), so I killed everything that had to do with HP, meaning recovery and system partitions...... now I am kind of sorry....
So, do anybody have disc image of recovery disc's, or maybe a list of things missing comparing to retail OS and links to download them?
PS: Yes I know, the last one is a long shot
Thanks
