I'm calling this hand. 17-32xx reveal 2nd week of June after Intel does their showcase magic at Computex next week - becoming available by the 4th week of June. Correct me if im wrong, but the i5-3210M dual-core is the only processor that HP is still waiting for.

I might be a little too optimistic >.< time will tell.

Yes, the current 17 does have an i5, then upgradeable to the i7's ... But, the 3D only has i7's

The summary at the bottom says the i3 and i5 are good bang for your buck, but they suggest avoiding the dual core i7 because the added cost to performance ratio is poor. Instead they said to go with a quad core. So if I get the zenbook, I'll aim for the i5, $1299 ux32vd.

As for comparing the laptop. A fair comparison would be the ux31A to the MacBook air with 128gb SSD. I think the MacBook air is $1300 and comes with a hd3000 intergrated graphics, while the zenbook has hd4000 and is $1100. Maybe the processors are different. I'm not sure and am to lazy to check cause I'm using my iPhone to type this

They haven't been released yet at all. Only the quad cores... That's what the whole debacle is with Intel because of production setbacks last year... (earthquake)

No the design won't change per the maintenance manual. And the graphics is just 1GB of gddr5... :/ would be nice, but there's alienware for that lol

Really, 2 gigs of Video RAM isn't necessary... Most games you play won't even pass that one gig threshold..
    Computers: ^.^
    HP Envy 17 (3rd Gen) Laptop (i7-2670QM, 8 Gigs 1600, intel 520 SSD) Primary
    Acer (AC-700) Chromebook Netbook

Upon further investigation, the envy 17-32xx may actually have 2GB of Gddr5. Straight up overkill if you ask me... Oh well, we're the ones that'll benefit.

Scroll down to the 7850M and behold. Great for you guys that do CAD (Catia etc...). And moderate gaming with DX11 and OpenGL 4.2. Personally i'm loving the fact that this is PCIe 3.0
