Re: New member to own a HDX Need help :)
Welcome to the forums, Tekkon.

You should be able to put in 6 GB (2 GB + 4 GB DDR2) or 8 GB (4 GB + 4 GB DDR2) of RAM. However, obtaining the 4 GB sticks is difficult...and expensive.
You should be able to run Windows 7 on your notebook; other HDX 9000 users have done so successfully. Take a look at CompTrekkie's Windows 7 post...it's a great place to start:

Re: New member to own a HDX Need help :)
ah thanks for the reply I read few them I might try and reformat and follow his directions exactly, I am pretty bad with these things, do I literally just type DDR2 4gb ram hdx 9200 and see what I find?
I am having this annoying problem, I have re installed twice and every time my computer usage randomly shoots up to 100% constantly, I know its something to do with SVChost.exe and I have googled it and tried different things but nothing seems to work. I am certain that it is something to do with the drivers I am installing....... any suggestions?
