If the envy 15 32XX does come out on monday, im going to a very unsatisfied customer. I got my envy a month ago, and before i did, i did some research and found out the IVB Envy's aren't due till summer/fall and now if it does come out. I'm going to be very pleased, you guys think HP will let me exchange it for a IVB model?

    Hey Guys,

    I found this site:
Gearbot: HP Envy 15" price comparison for NZ retailers.
which about halfway down, has Envy 15's with Ivy Bridge.

Through that, I found this site:
    Aquila Technology : B6U24PA - HP ENVY 15-3202TX 15.6 i7-3610QM 8GB 750GB DVDRW ATI W7 HP
which has an available date of June 22.

Just thought I'd share (and keep in mind, this is for New Zealand).

Thanks, when I clicked on your second link it says available: TBA -- however there's another site advertising the same model with a stock date of June 7.

Buy & Save $39.95 Hewlett Packard (HP) Envy 15-3202TX Intel Core i7-3610QM 2.3GHz 15.6" HD HP BV... (B6U24PA)

I have a feeling that merchants are guessing about as much as we are.

Like most of you, I've been waiting for the Envy 15 refresh... but why in god's name would I buy a 15-inch laptop with a resolution of 1366x768? I hope there's an upgrade panel through the HP customizer (and preferably a better video card).

Ah yeah, the TBA is near the description at the top, but there's one toward the middle that has June 22.

And yeah, they're probably guessing too, but maybe they're making an educated guess. So maybe they were told they'd get the stock in June, and they're just picking random days in the month.

    Guys,

I tweeted to HPUK asking whether or not the ivy bridge envy 15 would make it to the UK after failing to with the last model. Their response..

Hi Alun, this will make an appearance in the UK from late July.

Is it really worth the effort for the handful of you to buy an interim laptop and return it when the Ivy Bridge Envy comes out? If it's only a month or two I'd save myself the trouble of all the installation/personalization back and forth. I realize it's not too time consuming but two months goes by fast.

well you did know that it was gonna come out around the summer time . but if u needed the laptop a month ago, then dont worry about it. you made the best choice. if it was just a random impulse decision .... ouch. I think if you really wanted to, you could probably sell it on ebay/craigslist for a discounted price and then buy ivy i highly doubt hp will let u exchange after a month.

...and be to honest, even though HP is big business, it's kind of messed up to purchase something with an intention just to return it.

That would be like buying a book, only to return it when you're done reading it.
