Honestly, I don't think that IB 3610 and 3612 are comparable to previous SB 2760 and 2860...

i think the 3610 competes with the 2860 or was it some xm mobile i7

is the i7-3610QM / 3612QM better or worse than i7-3820QM that u can get in a dv6tqe because if the i7-3820 qm is better than i dont get why hp wouldnt put it in its envy line when its already in their lower dv6 line
based on what ive seen the 3820 is better so i was hopin to have that in the envy instead like the dv6 but i guess any ivy bridge is better than no ivy bridge

The 3610 and 3612 are lower voltage ones. They are MUCH slower than the i7-3820qm.. The 3820 is a full voltage ivy bridge. The new envy line are ultrabook and sleekbooks... Made to conserve power, which is helped by the under-volted core.

So I need an answer quick here for my new Envy 15. I recently sent in my Envy 14 for repairs, and they said that it was impossible and that they would just upgrade me to the Envy 15 for free. I chose out all my new specs and submitted, but i just saw this thread about the new Ivy Bridge lineup. Should I call back and tell them to hold off until the new lineup comes in? How long so you guys supposed that'll be?

There's no official word, so it could be any time. Computers are starting to ship with the processors and GPUs that the new Envy 15 and 17 are supposed to have, so it could be a matter of days, but it could be months - when HP doesn't say anything, we have no way of knowing.

Ah yes. Well i just called in and they said eary next month :/ I doubt management will wait that long for me. Thanks for the fast reply though.
