Re: COMING SOON: ENVY 15-32XX Intel Ivy Bridge (AMD 7750M)
Sorry, what I meant was that I'd like to see them replace the current Radiance display, which is an IPS with some color-reproduction issues, with a new display of Radiance quality, regardless of technology, that doesn't have the color issues. As far as I can tell, whether TFT or IPS, displays that HP markets as "Radiance" tend to have great viewing angles, brightness, contrast, and (with this recent exception) color reproduction.

Re: COMING SOON: ENVY 15-32XX Intel Ivy Bridge (AMD 7750M)
There are benchmarks of the HD 7770M that places it slightly ahead of the GT 650M. The HD 7750M and GT 650M will probably be similar in performance. The benchmarks are on a "desktop test system," but it should be close enough to actual performance.
Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be seeing the HD 7850M in the Envy 15, like how the HD 6850M was only in the Envy 17-2XXX. Would be really nice though. :/
As for the display, I'm very curious of what HP will do. HP probably wants to offer something superior to the DV6's 1080p screen and slap on the "Radiance" label, and the DV6's panel already has decent contrast, acceptable gamut, etc. Maybe LG made a new revision to their 15.6" IPS panel.

Re: COMING SOON: ENVY 15-32XX Intel Ivy Bridge (AMD 7750M)
If the 7750m and the 650m aren't all that different, I don't see the point in offering both. It would actually be cheaper for HP to choose the lower-cost option and buy up those GPU's in bulk from one manufacturer.

wow the info on the last page got me excited.. i hope it releases by the end of this month or early june..
it kind of makes sense since back to school deals would be around september which would be the right time for them to get rid of their stock and release the refreshed version by christmas time

stupid question... HP Discover 2012 | Making technology work for you does this summit have anything to do with laptops? im too tired to browse through it more thoroughly but from what i have read there is not much besides
maybe envy 15 refresh? i wasnt expecting anything from the "influencer summit" but i happened to fall upon itTake an inside look at tomorrow's technologies and learn about where HP is investing and innovating.Previous Laptop: Toshiba Satallite A215 | 15" 1280x800 | Athlon 64 x2 TK - 53 | 2 gb ram | Radeon x1200 | 1 minute battery life -_- <- crappy aint it?

Re: COMING SOON: ENVY 15-32XX Intel Ivy Bridge (AMD 7750M)
Haha, it's all in between the GTX 560 and GTX 460 ranks, which are apart by only ~10% in performance. Not something to be concerned about, even if the GT 650M winds up being a bit faster than the HD 7750M.
As for the HP Discover thing, I don't think they'll be announcing the Envy refresh there. That seems to be directed towards businesses/IT work.

Honestly, I don't think that IB 3610 and 3612 are comparable to previous SB 2760 and 2860...
