Re: *HP ENVY 15 (3XXX series) Owners Lounge*
We got the Envy with 8GB 1600Mhz DDR3 RAM. We want to upgrade to 16GB. Does anyone know if this product will work?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820233265
In the documentation, it says it only supports up to 8GB for 1600 speed.. hmm.

Is the plastic panel stuck on perfectly? Otherwise there are gaps.

Re: *HP ENVY 15 (3XXX series) Owners Lounge*
that's the final nail on the coffin for the ENVY... i'm was waiting for it to arrive in Portugal but with all the problems its obvious that HP doesn't have a clue how to do things right...
this laptop had everything on paper to be a premium laptop, i'm gonna wait for the new ASUS N series, N46 or N56... at least ASUS does take quality control seriously...

Re: *HP ENVY 15 (3XXX series) Owners Lounge*
New owner here. bought the i7-2670 model with 8gb of 1600mhz ddr3, Immediately upgraded to the Plextor PX-256M3 and this thing is blistering fast. I love the display. very happy with my purchase. only gripe so far is the lack of dual tough sensitivity on the track pad. It doesnt register double finger scrolls well.

It all looks like it is put together right.
Make sure you update the Synaptics TouchPad driver. Mine works great now.
