See Page 2, requires some of the settings turning down but is totally playable.
    That's great. Thanks.

Do you remember what settings you used? Did you like the game?

Ran it at 1680X1050 since i don't have the Full HD monitor, most the settings low with AA and Shadows off to get it to run nicely, was running TS at 2.7ghz also.

Still run my GPU totally stock though, already cooked it once some months back don't think it would take kindly to being overclocked lol.

Could you please look at our case? We are trying to replace 8800GTS on our HP
HDX 9xxxx laptop card with Clevo 280m. It is MXM 2.1 HE card. 8800 pictures were
taken when card was replaced with 280m but vbios stayed as 8800GTS. 3700 was
taken when we have replaced 8800 vbios in SBIOS with 3700 vbios.

When I'm booting with original vbios it boots without beeps and black
    screen.

When replacing with 280m vbios we have black screen, 30sec beeps and we are
able to work via RDP only.

It is not a phoenix bios but Compaq/HP but I have a tool to uncompress, decode
    and replace part of BIOS.

I have found that in our original 8800GTS vbios and 3700 vbios we were using
there are no MXM letters to be visible in hex editor. In 280m vbios we have
tried there is. My observation is that if flashed with vbios where MXM is
visible in hex editor in vbios file then we have black screen and beeps. When
flash with vbios where there is no MXM letters in vbios file we have no beeps. I
would appreciate if you could help us. There is few people waiting for help as
they have already replaced their cards and there are few people considering
replacement but waiting for working solution.
    Netroller3D has replied:

    Code:
Because you are adding the VBIOS to the SBIOS (rather than flashing it into the
card's ROM), it is best to inject the MXM structure into the VBIOS. Hook the
VBIOS's entry point (address 0x3 is a jump to the entry point in the VBIOS file)
to an MXM interrupt handler added to the end of the VBIOS image. If you post
your VBIOS on ifile.it, I'll try to do this for you.
Then after further analysis Netroller3D said:

It seems the HDX has an EDID-less display panel. I would need someone with an
original, working 8800M GTS to retrieve the generated EDID data from the
registry using Phoenix EDID Designer to complete the mod.

I've sent him that information. Unfortunately I don't know how he is going to
    implement that mod.

Is it possible to use my HDX9494nr's two drive bays to set up a RAID-0 (mirrored) array? I had a good experience with a previous desktop PC using a SCSI array but I don't think my laptop supports SCSI. Is there another way to do this? Thanks.

we don't have RAID controller in our HDX laptop. You can use software raid but as far as I'm aware it is only available on Linux.

Thank you AlphaHeX. Probably he want to extract the "Basic Display Parameters and Features", especially the "Video Input Definition" from EDID. Look like it's necessary for creating the MXM structure.

I hope so. Does anyone knows where I can find more information about modding/injecting MXM code in/into vbios?

You can start by reading the MXM 2.1 specification doc. It available at .NetRolller 3D's thread.

cI did it already. But going from theory into practice is not so easy
