Forget all the great tips on the WEB!

    SSD at Win7:
    2. Alignment (at Win7 installation directly on SSD are aligned partitions already)
After a cloning process, all partitions must be realigned!
Review, for example, with this "AS SSD Benchmark" possible:

"AS SSD does not need any installation. The benchmark itself must not run you.
Each benchmark run will cost performance. (and write load)
Appears in "iaStor" = "ok", then the orientation of the OS partition ok.

Here is a picture of my SSD in "AS SSD".

Appears in "iaStor" = "bad", so you have to align.

I use to align "Paragon Alignment Tool 3.0". (fee)
There are other software that is free of charge.

    3. Everything else is the "IntelToolbox V2.02" properly adjusted and checked.

Please change nothing else! (No services or REG entries)
This is all nonsense. I know of what I write.

    4. Here is a tool for "controller"control "Drive Controller Info"
    . (without Installation)
It will show whether the conditions are met for the Trim command.

    5. "RamDisk" would still be an option. Not absolutely necessary.
Here, content downloads and Temporary redirect.
Also, the paging file be moved to it.
A little complicated, but I use it.
See also "RAM disk"in my signature!
Thank you for all that information! Much appreciated.

    HP HDX9280LA HDX9288LA HDX9290LA HDX9200 MOTHERBOARD | eBay

There's another m-board on ebay that says it's for the HDX9200 but the model numbers are different:
    HP 464591-001 HDX9000 HDX 9200 9300 9400 Motherboard | eBay

I would obviously like it to be the cheaper of the two.

    Any help would be appreciated.
So, I found this in the manual (pic)

and that explains the two different part numbers. I'm pretty sure I have the ATI but want to make sure. Whats the easiest way to find out? I'm hoping that its not take apart..., wipe off thermal grease....

    Thank you in advance!

So I called Hp and they told me I had the 448145-001 motherboard and that I had a nVidia video card... Either the manuals wrong or the tech. The manual says ATI graphics!?!

I can't get into windows. The Bios is bad and I've tried just about everything over the last 3 months. If anybody wants my old motherboard after I get the new one, just let me know.

Got your box (sticker on side with list); what's your product and part number indicators (from sticker below license key on Dragon belly)?

It's got to be be someone with the technical knowhow, and logically someone with more than one machine. Hmm. I wonder if there are any people around like that. Hmmmm.......

You've got a 2nd Gen MB and an ATI GPU; you could replace with the 1st Gen board, however, for what it's worth, I would not (more a subjective personal preference than an objective reasoning).
