Sorry, I made a mistake. You've got no interest dei 450 GTS used.
I had the "GTS" overlooked.
I thought it's about 260 GTX and 450 GTX. My mistake.
Thus, for you, there is also little interest in the new GPU drivers.

Re: *OFFICIAL: HP HDX 9000 DRAGON Owners Lounge 2*
@kindheart
The problem of the new driver exposes a problem that I described soon as 2009.
The GPU power is not adjusted correctly and quickly enough.
So I'm working for years with Powermizer "off".
And for this reason, it was for me only to crash in Battery with the new drivers. With power supply, no crash.
Now to behave with Poermizer "on" (factory setting):
The HDX crashes at the moment when the GPU stays in 200MHZ, although a load is required.
In my tests, this only applies to IE and the Flash presentation.
Other programs accounts generate no crash with 266.35.
I do not work with another browser.
In order to still work with the new drivers, one has to the program, which generates the crash, the maximum power in the "Nvidia Control Panel
Assign. Certainly, this is your browser.
(in my case IE only)
Without a profile, this means the "Internet Explorer" is running the same GPU 500MHZ at 1 volt. (fan when browsing loud)
If, however, as I used the highest profile of 215/110/465, IE remains there and there is no crash and the fan remains quiet. Unfortunately, even at 1 volt.
Quick Start:
1. new driver install
2. "Nvidia Control Panel"/ "Manage 3D Settings "; / Program settings
Browser - power management mode of "maximum power" (For you Firefox)
3. NTune create profiles as desired.
Browser operation, for example, "215/110/465"

EDIT:
Depending on the software on the HDX, it may also be necessary to also set the program settings to the "Global setting" to "maximum performance ".
This is almost the setting Powermiezer "off"right now. The only difference is, does not use a program of the clock is reduced to minimum 200/100/400.
For me, still remains the only authentic position Powermizer "off" and his own profile choice.
With the new drivers then remains is this disadvantage:
Unfortunately, there is a drawback obtained.
Under the battery is browsing with 383/301/766 at 0.9 V.
This will unload the battery faster.
In battery mode, no other profile is possible.
Unfortunately Powermizer "off" here not possible.
I still hope to find a better solution.Last edited by RickiBerlin; 12th January 2011 at 01:20 PM.

I'm glad for you.
Think it remove the service QuickPlay Task Scheduler (QTS) from the launch service!
The best of msconfig (system configuration) services.
If you do not, may prevent the energy saver mode.
The service QuickPlay background capture service (QBCS) do not change! (otherwise your TV tuner is detected too late)1.HDX9350 | X91 4,0GHz | Intel 510 SSD- 250GB | UJ-220 | WSXGA+ / 4.HDX9480 | T83 3,2GHz | 1x320GB+1x500GB | BC-5500 | WUXGA

Re: *OFFICIAL: HP HDX 9000 DRAGON Owners Lounge 2*
I would not raise much hope. However, after you've tried already so much now, still a driver test.
This applies only to Windows 7!!!!!
Driver Information:
ENHANCEMENTS: - Prevents installation conflicts on images where ADI audio drivers are already installed.
FIXES: - Fixes an issue where the audio system is lost after unplugging headphones.
This sounds like a suitable to your problem but do not tell you too much hope!
More info here and here.
Here's the direct download link for "ITE Audio 6.10.6300.0 sp50856"
And to avoid confusion here is a picture.
There, you see that 6.10.6300.0 is installed on my system.
Since there are other drivers with the same name, also my audio driver folder is visible. But remain at sp50856!

Only if there are other problems, then useITE Audio 6.10.6289.0 sp49465 REV-B. (Info) This is also great on the HDX. (subwofer active in both drivers)
Installation of as "2.0" explained.
EDIT:If Vista does not use this driver!Last edited by RickiBerlin; 13th January 2011 at 01:37 PM.

That's a good suggestion RickiB. I hope it works. Otherwise, it might be a hardware issue.
The other thing James could try in order to rule out hardware issue is a Linux Live CD.Brand new, secondhand.
Dividing by zero since 1971.

Re: *OFFICIAL: HP HDX 9000 DRAGON Owners Lounge 2*
Yes, then you can remove QCBS. (this is not necessary, and system resources are used by this service barely)
EDIT:I mean, it's not necessary to disable this service. For me it is active.
Alternatively, put it this service in Computer Management to "manual"and leave it in the autorun!
Would you then use it QuickPlayTV, then start the service there!
If you do not start it, your TV tuner in QuickPlay is detected only at the second startup. But then he jumps automatically to analog tuner.
Example:
1. Service is to manually
2. You start QuickPlayTV (where the service will start automatically QBCS while, but too late)
3. The TV tuner is not recognized. EDIT:This also applies to the FM radio tuner.
4. You finish QuickPlay.
5. Now you start QuickPlay again, now is your TV tuner detected. (default analogue TV)
So, do as you please!
Another thing:
If you're doing is a lightweight system, then you can even "HPQuickPlay" remove from the startup. (msconfig/Systemstart)
The only drawback: On your remote control "QuickPlayRun" and "Teletext" not working before starting the program QuickPlay. Direct TV button still works.
QuickPlay is already started all the keys work as usual.
(info for U.S. users. Teletext Keys only model in Europe, U.S. version is the DVD button)Last edited by RickiBerlin; 12th January 2011 at 04:35 AM.

DIY ViDock x1 using PE4H v2.4 (Jumper: bypass 12V fuse), NVIDIA GTX 260 896MB and 900W ATX PSU on the HP Dragon HDX 9300 series - X9000 @ 3.4 - 4GB RAM

Above 3DMark06 figure has been repeated with PhysX off, PhysX on GTX 260 and PhysX on internal 8800MGTS and has in the three cases been almost the same ~4294
3DMark06 with x2 setup is ~6000
Quite disappointing if you are only looking for raw power (the internal 8800M GTS scores 10500 in 3DMark06 on the same notebook). However, if you want to enable stereoscopic 3D Vision on external 120Hz LCD monitors, it works perfectly well and you can play Blu-ray 3D and display stereo JPS and MPO images, among other things... The internal 8800M GTS CANNOT drive external 3D Vision 120Hz LCD displays as it is limited to 59 and 60Hz modes only!
