Re: ***ENVY 14 Gaming Lounge***
Personally I think the Beats edition is nicer. It sets it apart from the crowd, but is not too flashy like the m11x. I like the rubberized black paint used for the palm rest. The regular Envy 14 has a laser etched design on the lid I don't particularly like. It overall doesn't look too much different from the regular HP lines. On the other hand, the Beats edition shows finger prints easier. In the end it all comes down to personal preference really. I really like the black and red combo... others don't; but I've gotten more compliments about the looks of my BEats edition than any other laptop I've had. I think the Beats edition comes with slightly different software preloaded too... not sure if it still does. On the HP website its ~$100 more, but it comes with a larger 7500rpm HDD to cover the cost.

I've had both and they are both awesome only reason i traded my beats to hp for a regular is because of the radiance. The beats is the sexiest laptop ever! The red backlighting w/ the black paint is freaking awesome. I miss mine but i have gotten to love the regular envy as well (not having to wipe the computer off after each use).

Yeah i played the leaked beta i can play it at 1280 x 720 and the beta was stuck on medium.. with decent frames IF i overclock...
its not native but its the best thing for now..
same with bulletstorm 720 is the best for frames with no Overclock
but that game looks kinda ty even on high lol...

Re: ***ENVY 14 Gaming Lounge***
I just ran Crysis 2 on my Envy 14 (i5-450m, 4gb ram) getting 35-45fps on "gamer" settings which is the lowest, and 25-38fps on "advanced" settings which is medium.
I am very impressed at the e14's ability to handle Crysis that well without overclock.
When I used MSI afterburner and upped the clock speed to 550mhz, I was getting 50fps on "gamer" settings.Envy 14 | i5-450m | 4gb RAM | 320hdd | Radiance Display

Re: ***ENVY 14 Gaming Lounge***
it most likely will get a slight performance boost, but don't expect performance like the envy 17. The envy 14 is simply to small to house a powerfull card.
Laptop : Envy 14 - i5-580 - 8 Gb - Radiance 1600x900
Desktop : i7-920 - 6 Gb - HD6970
Server : AMD X2 64 4200+ - 2 Gb
