FIX for loss of keyboard brightness control after waking from sleep: (for 1920 x 1080 screens ONLY).

Whenever you close the lid on your laptop, do you lose control over the brightness controls via the keyboard?

Solution - Thanks to divertankado
Go to Device Manager
Go to Monitors
Select Update Drivers
Browse my computer for driver software
Let me pick a list of device drivers on my computer
Uncheck "Show compatible hardware"
To the right of "(Standard Monitor Types) - select "Digital Flat Panel (1920x1080 60hz).

I customized one the way I would if I were to buy, came out to around $1950:

• Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
• Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-540M Dual Core processor (2.53GHz, 3MB L2 Cache) with Turbo Boost up to 3.06GHz
• 4GB DDR3 System Memory (1 Dimm)
• 500GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection
• 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon(TM) HD 5850 Graphics
• 17.3" diagonal Full HD HP Ultra BrightView Infinity LED Display (1920x1080)
• Blu-ray ROM with SuperMulti DVD+/-R/RW with Double Layer Support
• HP TrueVision HD Webcam
• Intel Wireless-N Card with Bluetooth
• Full-size island-style backlit keyboard
• 50% OFF! One 6 Cell (standard) and One 9 Cell (over-sized) Lithium Ion Battery
• No Productivity Software

With the current BCB that will be around $1500 or so. Awesome

PEOPLE ORDERING REMEMBER BCB, USE IT, SAVE SOME MONEY! 25% Off right now. Won't last long.

@L3vi

I configured it almost exactly the same as you, but with the i7-720QM (I'm just too used to its power from the Envy 15 to let it go now.. ;] ). I didn't include the 9 cell.

I saw your post about the 17 being up, and so I rushed over and started configuring. By the time I was trying to add it to the cart though, HP took the 17 off the store...

Yes Bing Cashback. Use the Bing search engine to get to HP's site.

That's weird it was taken off. I think it may be best to wait for a bit for the site changes to "settle in" so there are no mishaps in ordering.
