Re: [Drivers] HP dv6-7XXX / dv7-7XXX (INTEL Ivy Bridge)
new Intel HD Graphics drivers directly from the Intel web site:
v8.15.10.2761 for Win7 (exe downloads):
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...21428&lang=eng
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...21430&lang=eng
v9.17.10.2770 for Win8 (zip downloads):
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...21235&lang=eng
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...21180&lang=eng
also, previous recent version of Intel HD Graphics driver 8.15.10.2712 from HP
from these packages:
sp57228 for Win7 32bit computers (the KIT45368.INF file is similar to the igdlh.inf file, nearly a "generic" version of the Intel HD Graphics drivers)
sp57544 for Win7 64bit computers (the KIT45369.INF file is similar to the igdlh64.inf file, nearly a "generic" version of the Intel HD Graphics drivers)Last edited by epguy3; 15th June 2012 at 10:20 PM.

Re: [Drivers] HP dv6-7XXX / dv7-7XXX (INTEL Ivy Bridge)
@justinkw1: ALERT! The Intel HD Graphics 8.15.10.2761 64bit ZIP download (win7_64_152612.zip) has the wrong INF file. For some unexplainable reason, Intel packaged an OEM INF file (kit45406.inf) in the 64bit zip package when they should have packaged the igdlh64.inf file. The corresponding EXE v8.15.10.2761 downloads have the right INF files (igdlh.inf & igdlh64.inf) and the 32bit ZIP download has the igdlh.inf file. Users who use the 64bit zip download will have to edit the kit45406.inf file for the driver to install correctly, though that will break Microsoft's digital signature.

Re: [Drivers] HP dv6-7XXX / dv7-7XXX (INTEL Ivy Bridge)
I'd like to say thanks for all the people who maintain and/or contribute to this forum. Comparing the posted drivers to the ones which came in my SwSetup folder, almost all of the drivers I got out of the box were a few revisions behind.

Re: [Drivers] HP dv6-7XXX / dv7-7XXX (INTEL Ivy Bridge)
I'd also like to post my thanks for all who keep this page updated.
Even though I only have an HP DV7 6197ca model, many of the updates are relevant for my system too.
When combined with 16GB RAM, dual SSD's (Intel 256GB 520 Series) and the beta IRST 11.5.1171 storage drivers, many of the updates on the first page have given my system a noticeable increase in the responsiveness of my system (from the fully updated (via HP Support Assistant) 'stock' version I was running two weeks ago).
I am curious if updating the BIOS firmware would be beneficial (or even possible...) - I may have to try it sometime (I'll report back if I do).
Tried updating the BIOS from F.1B to F.0A but the installer is smarter than me: Wrong file for my notebook! Lol... (well, I tried...).
