Does anyone know if there's a driver for the volume dial? Mine is not working and I tried to reinstall the IDT driver but it did nothing.

• Updated links to the AMD Radeon graphics driver for ENVY 15-3XXX, version 8.882.2.3000 (AMD) / 8.15.10.2476 (Intel SG) / 7.12.0.7702 (HDMI Audio).

Warning: Download size is over 650 MB. This is because HP incorrectly packaged the driver - they basically re-packaged the driver package inside of itself. If they had packaged this correctly, the download size would only be half of what it is now.

Which driver version did you use? Could you try the following (HP default) driver and see if this resolves your issue?

No...it seems that you can be installed only with the factory image of HP...
Probably you need to install HP Support Assistant. :S

If you install HPSA you'll be able to install Cool Sense. Otherwise it won't work, in my case.

I've got a problem with the gpus:
I've reinstalled my system with Windows 7 x64 yesterday
I've installed all the necessary drivers for the Envy 17-3080ez. But I can't find the ATI GPU in the Device Manager as well I cant switch the gpu.
Is there a possibility to switch the gpu to the ATI GPU? The BIOS (is very restricted and only provides "some" options. It seems that only the Intel GPU is recognised by the system.

My volume dial isnt working either and i cant send back my laptop since i live in spain. I re-installed the IDT already and nothing happened. Any Help?

After a fresh install, my volume dial is functioning and I have beats audio.

However, the beats audio button is not functioning. In addition, when I change volume or brightness, no notification of this change comes up on the screen. I think whatever I'm missing might be affecting the volume output of the computer as well.

Does anybody know what will get the beats audio button working again? And/or what driver controls the volume and brightness pop-up displays?

You need HP On Screen Display for notifications to appear when adjusting brightness/volume/etc. I uploaded the installer here: http://ge.tt/9EIUdLC?c

The beats audio button works if you install HP Quick Launch. It's available on HP's official driver downloads page for this laptop.

• Updated IDT High Definition Audio driver to version 6.10.6368.0.
• Updated Broadcom 2070 / 20702 Bluetooth driver package to version 6.5.0.2900.
• Updated Intel WiFi Link driver (and software) to version 14.3.0.6 (thanks Toink).

Note: the Broadcom Bluetooth driver package version is 6.5.0.2900; individual driver components may have a different version number.

There are also two versions of the Intel WiFi Link package - one that includes only the driver, and the other which includes both the driver and My WiFi Technology software. Both versions are linked on the first post.

The beats audio button works if you install HP Quick Launch. It's available on HP's official driver downloads page for this laptop.
