Try messing with the powermixer in your ATI CCC.

i changed the windows power plan to high performance and fixed this problem. note that those settings in the ccc power section also get integrated into the power plan of you select 'advanced power settings' youll see them at the bottom

    there is the following command:

    Code:
    powercfg -devicedisablewake "ACPI Lid"
however it spits back a permissions error. if you can figure this to work, i would use it too.

The reason why cause there is no such option

powercfg -devicedisablewake "ACPI Lid" is the same as on device properties -> ACPI Lid -> Uncheck "Allow device to turn off to save power"

New BIOS F.13 for Envy 17 available

    - Adds support for new HP Notebook models.
    - Fixes an intermittent issue where the system cannot detect that the battery is inserted.

there is such a device. if u look in device manager. but unlike the keyboard and mouse, there isnt a power management tab for it. i should start up a discussion in ms's technet forums ... its trolled frequently by ms employees

    • Updated BIOS for ENVY 17 to version F.13 A (thanks Z3tor).

Note that I will be adding Envy 17 3D support as the product gets closer to launch, so stay tuned!
