I don't believe my set has the 3.0 drivers.

my system was an i5 with no USB 3.0.

HP is worthless when trying to find answers to drivers they don't have up on their website yet. I did a fresh copy of windows 7 and have everything up and running, just can't get my usb to work. I didn't find the USB drivers in the swsetup location.

swsetup/drivers will have everything you need for your system.

Did you back it up?

I am going to have to use the recovery discs to get it back to the original state to get at the original swsetup/drivers folder, before I do that are they for sure going to be there?

they will be located at C drive.

i back them up on my flashdrive

and my flashdrive die before i use those drivers...

I've updated the original post with some updates. Listed below are the most recent changes:

01/29/2010

• Updated IDT High Definition Audio driver to version 6.10.6255.0.
• Updated Realtek USB 2.0 Card Reader driver to version 6.1.7600.30111.

01/31/2010

• Merged HP MediaSmart products into one table.

• Updated IDT High Definition Audio driver to version 6.10.6263.0 (thanks lovegl).

I'm currently aware of the Envy 15-1100 original driver pack that's floating around -- taking a look at it, the ATI graphics driver included supports both the ATI Radeon Mobility HD 4830 and the ATI Radeon Mobility HD 5830 but does not seem to have a designated Softpaq number (dated 11/23/2009, version 8.670.5.1000). This tells me that HP isn't going to be releasing to the web an ATI driver specifically supporting the 5830 anytime soon, which is disappointing. However, it might happen...eventually.
