Another update to the HP Quick Launch Buttons now available. It's an important update, as it fixes several bugs that some users may be experiencing.

    12/01/2009
    • Updated HP Quick Launch Buttons to version 6.50.9.1.

    FIXES:
    • Fixes an issue, which occurs on notebooks with an Intel processor that are running a Microsoft Windows 7 Operating System, where users are unable to extend the screen to two monitors by pressing the Presentation button when the notebook/laptop is in Clone mode.
    • Fixes an issue, which occurs on HP EliteBook 8540W Notebook PCs with NVIDIA drivers that are running a Microsoft Windows XP Operating System, where users are unable to switch the display between DVI and single display by using the Q-Menu.
    • Fixes an issue, which occurs on notebooks with an Intel processor that are running a Microsoft Windows 7 or Microsoft Windows Vista Operating System, where the on-screen display for volume does not match the action when pressing the Mute button or the Fn+F8 keys.

Do you have any idea why did HP removed their bios update F12A? Fortunately I already downloaded it before, and flashed my bios in my CQ35-109TU and no problems encountered, running smoothly. And to my suprise that bios update contains SLIC 2.1, thanks!
I may have some insight, when I updated the Bios on my DV3T to F13 my mobile broadband (WLAN) stopped working. It would show up in the Wireless Assistant as on but disabled and it was grayed out so I couldn't change it. I tested this out several times. I reverted back to the previous bios and everything worked fine. I'm sure this is one of the reasons why. Don't know why they removed the Bios completely though because the F12A works fine for me. It wasn't until updated to F13 that I started having problems.

For the NVIDIA graphics drivers, additional mirrors may exist for your region should you not reside in the US -- select the region closest to you for a better download experience.

Perhaps applying HP's System Default Settings will help with your power management issues. Try this and see if it fixes your problem.

    Version: 1.0.0.8
    ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp45001-45500/sp45457.exe

For more information about this Softpaq, see ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp45001-45500/sp45457.cva.
