Re: Latest drivers: HP HDX16 / HDX18 (INTEL)
In the first phase of the setup I remember it verifies the driver installation, so my guess is that on clean systems it also installs the driver.
If that's true, we could remove the driver specific section on the first post.
If someone tries it on a clean system, please let us know if it also installs the driver, thanks.

I just got the newest updates of HP Media Smart and IDT, but I am still pissed that they disabled the Treble/Bass sliders!!

Re: Latest drivers: HP HDX16 / HDX18 (INTEL)
Can anyone comment on the multimedia keys and Win7 X64? I had no luck with them. I just want the mute LED to work, eject button, and possibly the ability to re-configure the bass/treble controls to something else.

The mute button should work fine with just the sound drivers, it does for me anyway, even changes color according to the mute status. The eject button only worked for me when I was running the factory image, and even then, only worked half the time. The play/pause buttons and volume slider work like they should and is more responsive without the volume popup, and works even when the cpu is at 100%, though the mediasmart button does nothing in Windows 7, probably because I don't have the touch button drivers installed?

Does your Bass/Treble slider work?
I have to manually go into Windows Control Panel/SOUND to adjust the Bass and Treble levels. Vista 64 bit.
When I first got my HDX18 in May and then pretty much all summer long the treble/bass sliders always worked, and the On-Screen Display still worked too.
Now neither work.
