Hp G60
I used this G60 the other day. I picked it up and took it down a flight of stairs with wireless connected to a application. It freaked out cutting out on me when I stepped(when there was a slight vibration from my walk going down the stairs) and once I set it down once I got downstairs then it returned to normal. Are all new wireless this pathetic or just the G60? I new it was freaking out on me cause the app I was using was this new onlive.com gaming network and it has music with it when connected and when I picked it up and as my walk vibrated it a bit the music crackled like it was cutting in and out which was my signial.
I own an alienware laptop and never had any problem with my wireless cutting out on my usb wireless.

Re: Hp G60
what wireless cards are in both machines, are the drivers up to date, what kind of AP/node are you trying to access and did you ever subject your AW machine to the exact same handling and walk-around 'test'.
Unless the two wireless cards are identical, and the testing conditions are identical, any gut-level comparison between the two laptops is useless.

Re: Hp G60
Are you positive the crackling was not sound problems (granted if that was connected to the walking up and down still not a good sign) and was network problems?
I have never seen something pop in and out of network every few seconds without problems (seems unlikely it would pop in and out of playing constantly if you were actually losing connection).
Though the good news is few laptops are really needed for use while moving, and realistically if it bother's them, oh well

Re: Hp G60
Jeffrey, your post is incoherent to the point where I have no idea what you are talking about. It's a giant, pointless, nonsense collection of words. Whatever you are trying to express, please figure out how to do it in a way that people can understand. Use your website to post rants, not the NBR forums.

Be more careful creating threads in the future; read what you wrote back to yourself before posting. This is not the first thread I've seen from you that left me scratching my head and wondering where my five minutes went.
OK? Thanks.NotebookReview Writer & Reviewer
