Re: HP ENVY touchpad, 2 finger scrolling SUCKS
Am I missing something about how to do this? I hold my finger on the bottom left panel and scroll with another finger on the scroll bar on the webpage, and have no issues.
Should I be doing something else? And did you decide to continue to try it out (the Envy, I mean)? It passed a big test for me today when I had class for five hours today...with the slice, on power saver, with admittedly only light surfing and doing stuff when I needed to...I had 70% left after three hours.Sony Vaio Z Signature | i7 620 | 8 GB RAM | NVIDIA 330M | 512 GB SSD (4x128GB) | FHD | 13", 3lbs

The 2 finger scrolling works a treat on mine? Its pretty smooth, and responsive. Not quite up to par with the Macbook Pro, but pretty damn close IMO.
Maybe you should look at re-installing/updating the touchpad drivers? Do a Google search for the issue first, see if others are having a similar problem, then see if you can find a recommended fix.Clevo P150HMA - i7 2630 - ATI 6990M - 16gig RAM - 95% gamut matte screen

Re: HP ENVY touchpad, 2 finger scrolling SUCKS
I have 2 finger scrolling enabled, but it seems to ONLY catch when my fingers are liek .5in apart, i cant just have 2 fingers on teh pad and be scrolling like I'm used to on my MacBook. I end up getting this crosshairs looking mouse.

Re: HP ENVY touchpad, 2 finger scrolling SUCKS
The trick is to have your fingers about a finger-width apart. If they're too close to each other it can't figure out it's two fingers.

Re: HP ENVY touchpad, 2 finger scrolling SUCKS
You also need to jack up the sensitivity and mess with the scroll speed. no real excuses with the pad. I have seen some Asus and Acer that perform great with multitouch so I don't really know what gives.
I think it might have something to do with apple holding some patents and American companies being too scared to get make it too similar.
*sigh* America, where advancement in technology isn't held back by lack of funding or knowledge but patent disputes.....
