    No jumpers.

    BTW, you might have forgotten to turn the lock down on the CPU socket when you reassembled it. That could be the cause of your issue. I've made that mistake once upgrading a notebook's CPU.

    Ok i thought about what 2.0 said about the lock. So i tried installing the CPU again and this time i payed ver close attention to every thing i did. I made sure that every thing was hooked up (plugged in the fan ) and made sure the CPU was locked down.

    I got the same thing as before No Boot, just the black abyss!!!

    I am at a point of believing this is a bad processor. Wish i had a way to test it though.

    You're running out of options, but have you tried clearing CMOS?
    Remove power cable, battery, and the small battery next to the RAM, look here.
    Wait for at least 15 minutes, then put it together again. Hope for the best, expect the worst.
