However HP was no help in finding this out, I'm thinking I should call them and tell them they should pay me for the time I spent to find the fix!

Re: HP Pavilion dv8000t
I'm considering buying the dv8000t from CostCo, but I went on their web site and it doesn't mention a TV tuner or remote. pardon my ignorance, but if you're getting a laptop with Media Center on it, with no TV tuner...what's the point??

Re: HP Pavilion dv8000t
Media Center is chaeper than XP Pro, and offers better Media access. I love Media center as I don't have my laptop on a huge network and I watch movies on it all the time. I never watch TV for the most part so a TV tuner isn't needed in my case.
Thanks

Re: HP Pavilion dv8000t
you can add tv tuner and remote in customized page in costo.com I had mine ordered from there.
----TV & Entertainment Experience help me decide
No TV Tuner w/remote control [included]
HP ExpressCard Analog TV Tuner w/remote control [add $126.00]
---
the above option.
