HDX16 Users TEMPERATURE, SPACEBAR, and DOLBY question!!!
Is it me or does the left side of the wrist rest get hot? the remote in the slot also gets really hot. The average temp seems to be 38-46 C. Its like 81 when playing a game or so. Even though these numbers seem normal, does anyone feel its hotter than its supposed to be. I used HWMONITOR to see the temps. Im just worried if this heat can ruin the express slot remote. and does anyone else feel the warmth from the left side?
Also, is anyone's spacebar not that responsive when hitting it towards the farthest left or right? Its really annoying when you hit it but theres no space. Other laptops are perfectly normal but the hdx16 spacebar seems loose.
Lastly, everytime i turn off the dolby sound space expander, my fingerprint reader sounds like its buzzing when it accepts a fingerprint. Some songs crackle when it's turned on as well. Try it out, it will probably happen to you. Already tried reinstalling the audio drivers and problems still occurs. any ideas?
THANKS FELLAS

Re: HDX16 Users TEMPERATURE, SPACEBAR, and DOLBY question!!!
The hard drive is usually just below the palm rest, its what causes is to heat up.
It wont ruin the remote, it will just shorten the remotes battery life due to the heat.
Compare your space bar with another HDX16 to see if it happens too.

Yes mine is warm on the left too but not hot. Take your remote out if you're worried about it.
No, the spacebar on mine is perfect. I think it is just an issue with yours.
I did not try the fingerprint reader issue so I don't know.Toshiba Satellite • Vista Home Premium • Intel Dual Core Pentium T3400 (2.16GHz) • 2Gb Ram • 15.4 Display • 120Gb HD
