Default dv5t color display problems & sleep problem

I'm having a couple of problems with my new dv5t (with infinity brightview 1680x1050 display).

    1. Colors are way off. Working on a project in photoshop on this computer, the colors are far more desaturated than on other computers. Makes big problems with printing.

    2. When I close the lid and it goes to sleep, very often when I open it back up it won't comeback, all the lights are on on the dashboard, but the screen is blank black and no matter what I press it won't come back-- so I end up having to hard shutdown.

    Any ideas?

    1. You'll need to use a monitor calibrator like a Spyder3... the software will analyze and create a colour profile for your screen...

    2. I've had that happen to me a few times on my DV7... no idea what's causing it...

I hope the Nvidia defects didn't make it onto the DV7.

Spyder3 costs 450 bucks! Any less expensive alternatives?

Yeah... there's a Spyder2Express... it's should be significantly cheaper than the Spyder3 and should get the job done...

Still having this problem, any fixes that don't cost so much money?

There is, manual calibration I think. This thread discusses it. Hope that helps.
