It is a cool game and in the config menue will run a test of your configuration.
It seemed to agree with 3DMark.

I am rebooting that computer.

that's just it..you have to see the exact cards they are using. and i'll bet you 100 to 1, it isn't a 8600gs dedicated 512. most of them are 8600 gt cards or the 256mb version of the gs..apparently it has gddr memory. i didn't remember seeing that at the store, but i have been wrong before.

Check out this post for ways to OC Hp laptops with the latest drivers( not just 169.04s).

It also discusses the possibility as to why the 512 cards overclock less than the 256 ones and a way this could be fixed.
