How long Does it take HP to ship custom notebooks?

This is a pleasant surprise. My TX2500z was supposed to be in production until the second of September, but it shipped yesterday.

Not sure when I should have it, but I wasn't expecting to receive it for another week and a half. Now, I'm guessing I'll have it sometime next week.

It's gonna be a long weekend... literally and figuratively.

A little concerned about my shipping date due to weather?


Well it says that my shipping date is due on September 24, 2008 by 10:30 am. Do you guys think that the date is due to the weather problems like IKE? Is it possible I'd get it earlier? How long did your guys' take from Shanghai to California? Please let me know. Thank you.

Dang it, I was hoping I'd get it on Monday. Any possibility? I thought it only took 2 days to ship from Shanghai to US?

**Update**

My notebook is now in ANCHORAGE, AK. I'm confident I'll be getting it by Monday. It shouldn't take more than 1 day to ship from Alaska to California, right? If it leaves tonight, then it should make it to Cali by Sunday afternoon and into my hands Monday morning! Anyway, I'm stuck at home so I've been checking the fedex site every 6 hours.

Okay guys, my notebook is at the Fedex center near my house. Just got here at 6:30 am.

But the expected delivery isn't until Wednesay. What are teh chances they ship it today? Will Fedex hold it at the location until Wednesday? That would p*ss me off! Its at the facility that always delivers to me.
