How long Does it take HP to ship custom notebooks?

No, It was shipped in Shanghia sometime this morning, made it to Anchorage this afternoon.

It just left Anchorage here about 5 minutes ago!

It seems like HP sends large shipments in bulk as they are built at the Shanghai manufacturing plant. I order my dv6500t on November 26th, estimated build date was December 5th, I checked my status religiously and discovered the following:

Yesterday:
9:14pm-In Transit from Shanghai
Yesterday:
10:14pm-Picked up from Shanghai (received after cutoff, but that didn't seem to cause a delay!)
Today:
11:34am-Arrived at Anchorage, AK Fed/Ex Hub
Today:
1:50pm-Departed Anchorage, AK Fed/Ex Hub

Estimated ship date is December 7th, but I suspect it will be received before then (Atlanta, GA). Even if we do receive it on the 7th, that will be much earlier than expected.

Excellent! It seems like a lot of our machines were on the same jumbo jet from Shanghai.

Was hoping to have mine a couple days early as well, but looks like that won't be happening. Is there a delay with the dv9000s? Or maybe its just holiday demand.

They are probably dealing with a larger than normal amount of orders because that 30% off coupon was floating around for so long

same here as a matter of fact. may still ship more quickly than 5-7 days though. still a possibility to get ours on friday, but i'm expecting it sometime next week. and yeah, i jumped on that 30% coupon too. i'd say after so many they'd give a higher completion date instead of telling a few hundred people Dec 6. I dunno. I'll just be pleasantly surprised when it shows up. and if it takes longer than the 6th to leave production i guess i'll just call them up and complain for some free stuff too

Did you get email stating it shipped or did you just check the order status online? I hope my notebook is in the same shipment. My ship date is Dec 7th.

UPDATE! Just checked my online order status and it shipped today! When I click on Fedex link, it doesn't show up in the system yet. Yes!!! Anyone think they could arrive by Saturday? Does it take longer to get to the West/East or Midwest area?
