I'm thinking of taking my notebook into the store and pretending to be an HP rep in to check on their setups. That way I could get away with moving files around.

I don't know, it might be fun to be the first person ever arrested for "stealing" device drivers.

Well, I updated the main post after diving through HP site some more. They've actually got a number of files posted, but not tied at all to the consumer systems yet. Unfortunately, the most needed ones (audio and webcam) aren't there yet.

But ALL of the drivers posted work on both 32-bit and 64-bit Vista.

Okay, I've dug threw the HP FTP server looking for files. Apparently, HP's website only updates weekly based on all the files they've put on the FTP. I'm impatient so I've linked directly to some of the FTP files I found.

Still looking for Webcam drivers... and Conexant HD Audio drivers for "Waikiki" devices. Most everything else should be there.

Have you gotten your HP quicklaunch buttons to work? Mine doesnt bring up the program and the mute doesnt change from blue to yellow when muted. So as of right now I cant program the dvd player button or anything and Ive tried two different versions of the quicklaunch. Also does quickplay work with vista?

Ive also notice at boot up after it gets into windows there is a small hang. Almost like it loads all but some then it refreshes to finish then works fine. anyone else notice this?

HP Quicklaunch buttons install fine, but the control panel never shows up, so its fairly useless. 6.10C is latest version I've found and that supposedly has Vista compatibility. The Vista drivers are there, but the control panel isn't. Maybe in the next update.

I'm not sure about Quickplay. I never used it under XP. So far I haven't seen a Vista update for it on the FTP.

Yeah I can get the volume to work but thats about it as for the buttons. none of the others work because you cant bring up the panel to associate them lol. I never really used it either but I liked having the option.

The Nvidia drivers I got from laptopvideo2go arent very good at all. I went from windowed mode to fullscreen in eq2 and it artifacted everywhere lol. Also they wont hold the brightness settings and what not.
