    Default Rebuilding an Elitebook 8740w

    Hey guys. ;]

I uninstalled the Adobe CS5.5 to install the shiner CS6, but Windows decided some days ago to give me problems and somehow now I find myself with both of them on my workstation and both of them as "ghosts", impossible to run or uninstall with any tool.

So.. I decided to format my Elitebook and start from scratch.

Since it's not a normal desktop or even laptop (where I usually rebuild the machine without many thoughts) I'd like to know any protip or warning from you.

I was thinking about going to the HP assistance on their website and downloading Drivers from there, but is there a "step by step" hint anyone could give me to let me do this as right as possible?

    Hoping to learn something new,

    - Mike

I generally format, install all Windows updates (excluding hardware drivers suggested by the update utility). Then install all the relevant HP drivers on their website (chipset/mobo ones first, until there's no question marks in Device Manager). Then I install all my apps.

Done this for loads of systems, had no issues. It is as straightforward as you think it is.
