Souring and repacking batteries?
So I was reading the thread here:
HP 2530P - 6 cell vs 9 cell battery.
How does one source/repack existing batteries? I have an HP 2530p, does that mean if I get this battery:6-cell is 55Whr, 9-cell is 83Whr, so 50% more battery life. If have a 6-cell already, could consider sourcing and repacking existing battery using the hi-po 18650 cells as used in Asus 1000HE/ Toshiba NB205 to get 15% more battery life without using any no more space (their 6-cell is 63Whr).

Battery pack for Toshiba NB205, would that fit into my laptop?

Re: Souring and repacking batteries?
It's for highly technical ppl who might want to try to remove the cells from a working battery and pack them into their existing battery shell.. I wouldn't recommend unless you know for sure what you are doing. All the documentation says the batteries can explode so soldering has to be done very carefully.
So I'd suggest source a 2530P/2540P 55Whr/62Whr//83Whr/93Whr battery 6//9-cell battery instead. Can be had as a low cost import from China/HK on ebay.

Hi.
Have a look at the website below, they use lin-ion battery`s in flashlights, the same cells that are used in notebook battery`s the most common type is called an 18650 they should be able to give you advice and where to buy the cells from.
