Default How to open up HP 4430s Probook

    hello,

Is there any guide/youtube on opening up HP 4430s probook. I need to clean it up after some coffee spilled on it. Its supposed to be spill proof, but after sometime i got the blue screen and it is not restarting. It gives HDD connection error.

    Please help!

Go to the 4430 user thread in this forum. The link to the maintenance pdf was posted within the past few days. It will show you how to open it up.

Thank-you ryangoan! I could only open up the battery b4, now i am thru with the big lower cover.

Although i took out all the four screws for HDD, it is not sliding to the left.
I'm afraid to put more pull on black flaps as they might tear out.
Is there anything else holding it?

    just push.

what i do is i put a finger on the back of the drive and push with the other finger so it doesnt come out with a bang.

i dont use the plastic pull tabs, they feel a bit flimsy to me.

dont push down too hard on the drive, just push to the left. or if you feel totally freaked out youtube a video on removing a laptop hdd and apply the same technique to your lappy
