Re: HP Probook 4530s screen upgrade 900P, 1080P
Hi Everyone,
Anyone ever heard of the cable 648977-001? This is what I got when I ordered 646274-001 from HP Parts. Initially, I thought about returning it, however, since I had my 4530s dissisembled I decided to test it, and guess what it works.
However, after using it (with B156HW01 V.4) I noticed that it causes a severe eye strain (its hard to focus when reading something).
Now I am not sure if its my screen, cable or just my screen needs calibrating?
Thanks for your inputCurrent laptop: HP Probook 4530s

Re: HP Probook 4530s screen upgrade 900P, 1080P
Thanks!
Assuming my bios version is current, do I need any software/firmware patches to make this work? (I saw on a Hackintosh forum that it they needed a dual-link patch to make it work, but I was unclear if that was only to make it work with Mac OS)

Re: HP Probook 4530s screen upgrade 900P, 1080P
I remember reading that certain 4530s models don't work with the screen upgrade. I really want this notebook because of the ability to run Mac OS, but the screen is subpar. So if I can upgrade it to 1920x1800 1080p, that would be good.
So back to the question,
Is there any model that doesn't work? Or can I just go on eBay and buy the first one I see?

Re: HP Probook 4530s screen upgrade 900P, 1080P
Okay, i can confirm that this upgrade works with 4530s (A1D13EA) + B156HW01 V.4 + 648977-001 (ordered as 646274-001).
And one question: is anyone of you experiencing some high frequency noise when dimming panel?
