Re: *HP EliteBook 8460p Owners Lounge!*
I was torn between this and the Lenovo T520 since only the 15" Lenovo supports quad core processors. Ultimately, I decided 15" was too big and ordered online:
HP EliteBook 8460p Notebook PC, with Mobile Intel® QM67 chipset, and AMD Radeon™ HD 6470M w/1 GB gDDR3
2nd Generation Intel® Core™ i7-2720QM Processor, 2.20GHz
no vPro Technology support
14.0-inch diagonal LED-backlit HD+ anti-glare (1600 x 900) with Webcam
Integrated 720p HD Webcam
AMD Radeon™ HD 6470M (1 GB gDDR3)
2 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 SDRAM (1D)
250 GB 7200 rpm 2.5-inch hard drive
DVD±RW SuperMulti DL LightScribe Drive
HP Integrated Module with Bluetooth® 2.1 Wireless Technology
Intel Centrino Advanced N 6205
HP 6-Cell 62 Wh Li-Ion Battery
The ship date isn't until the 21st, but I'll be out of town until nearly then. I also bought a discounted Win 7 Pro license and am going to throw in some aftermarket RAM: 2 sticks of 4 GB (hopefully there is access to more than one slot). I'm also considering buying an SSD but I'll probably hold off on that for awhile.

Re: *HP EliteBook 8460p Owners Lounge!*
- What screen res did you get, and how bright does it seem to be? (very subjective I know but still curious)
- How hot and noisy does it seem to get under load?
- Is having the vent on the right-hand side bothersome? (assuming you are a right-handed mouser)
- Any noticeable quirks to the overall system? Like a full-tilt fan speed after waking up from standby?
thank you!

I would like to know if mSATA is supported, to be able to run the intel 310 SSDs...
Thanks,
