Maybe this was already asked. Has anyone upgraded from a non-DC2 display to a DC2 display (post purchase)? If so how much does it cost hp to do it?

Re: *OFFICIAL: HP Elitebook 8740w Owners Lounge (NEW)*
Crashing is back. I "analyzed" my last DMP file (that is to say, I managed to download the right software to open it). I'm not exactly sure where the important stuff starts and stops, but it looks like the last crash had something to do with USB. I always use an external USB mouse with a wireless dongle connected to the port nearest the eSATA.

Re: HP Elitebook 8740w free-for-blogs
Thanx for those. These "in-depth" reviews by people who actually use them for the types of work we may use them for is great to see.
Though A DC2 high-gamut display looks like more of just a curiousity to the SolidSmack reviewer. I snickered at seeing the eye-burning un-calibrated Full gamut was the one selected in one of the images; and that guy's got a real obsession w/his marble skull.
I'm interested in following the JustCreativeDesign blog for his impressions as it's in a field closer to what I use my 8740w for.
...in all cases I'm very curious if any of these people will be plagued by any of the problematic niggles many of us see!The Collection: | HP 8740W i7-720 w/DC2 & M7820 | MacBook Air | Dell 1720 | Sony VGN-A790 | IBM X61T,X24,X20 | Dell E6500 [work issued] |

My tech told me to uninstall my mouse software and use the pointer/pad for now. The problem is that I don't have any Logitech software on my computer. So she said remove the driver, but I don't know which it is.
Here is a screen shot of my device manager.

Re: *OFFICIAL: HP Elitebook 8740w Owners Lounge (NEW)*
here seems to be standard Microsoft driver, try to find any utility software for mouse in add or remove programs, I'm also using Logitech mouse(g9) and I have no problem with it, I would be surprise if it is because of mouse, it can be if mouse is faulty or something, I have a few things connected to usb(hard drive, mouse, vacom, x-fi) and all working properly

Re: *OFFICIAL: HP Elitebook 8740w Owners Lounge (NEW)*
Possibly Stupid Question:
What software works with the webcam? I just noticed it in the Device Manager. I never use webcams for anything, at least not so far. I can't seem to find any software loaded on the 8740w that actually can take a picture with it.
Any suggestions?
