Default Pentium 3560Y vs Core i3-4020Y

So I was considering buying the new Sony Vaio Tap 11. The $800 version comes with a Pentium 3560Y and Intel HD Graphics, while the $1000 version comes with a Core i3-4020Y and Intel HD Graphics 4200. Other than that, they are identical.

I was wonder if a $200 or 25% higher price tag is worth getting the Core i3. What am I really losing out with the Pentium 3560Y?

    Thanks.

Depends on what you're doing. But, for general day-to-day stuff, including watching video and the like, there's practically no difference. You should focus more on the display (high-res and high-quality), comfort, and perhaps storage capacity.

Yeah, I will be mainly using it for Outlook, Excel, watching videos (YouTube , DVD), and iTunes. Everything else between the two options are identical, including the screen, which is great.

The Core i3 has a 25% higher clock and HyperThreading, so you will gain some performance and potential multi-tasking ability.
