    Default GPU choice...

    Hi, guys!
So I have a big decision to make. I want to play battlefield 3 on atleast medium-high settings, and I have to choose between these 2 GPUs.
Tell me what you guys think.

    1. GTX670M

    2. Mobility HD 5870M Crossfire (x2).

The X2 sounds infinitely better, but I'm a little worried about it's power consumption and over heating. Can the Crossire set up go higher than medium high settings? Thanks.

The GTX 670M will be faster in every game. You'll have higher minimum framerates and it'll let you game more smoothly rather than jumping around with highs and lows all the time.

One big GPU is always better than two lesser GPUs.

I can tell you that BF3 on my R2 on 1680x1050 and medium is pretty laggy. All depends on the resolution/quality you want to play. 5870's are getting old now, it's lost it's top place 2 generations ago. I'd probably stick with the 670M as it'll be paired with the newer Sandy Bridge/Ivy Bridge platform, whereas 5000 series ATI is still with Arrandale/Clarksfield.

Im guessing that Crossfire notebook could be a m17x R2?
If thats the case you might add crossfire AMD Radeon HD 7970m for some awesome performance.

A GTX 670m is very similar to a GTX 570, a decent GPU that can OC very well.
If the price is right then it could be a good choice too.
