Default 1.8" PATA Zif SSD External USB 2.0 Enclosure not working

About a month ago I replaced my 64gb 1.8 Zif PATA SAMSUNG SSD with a 128gb RENICE K3VELAR.I kept the SAMSUNG for external storage deleting the OS after I made sure the new SSD was properly working.I fit the SAMSUNG into the External 2.0 USB enclosure plugged it in and everything was ok.However yesterday I decided to throw in all my pictures/movies etc..but encountered a problem. When a plug the USB 2.0 it takes about 30secs to show up in My Computer as drive F: but disappears right away.If I open Devices/Printers it shows as INIC-1511 and opening Device Manager it shows as Initio INIC-1511 USB device.

Another thing I don't understand is why it is showing the SSD name as Initio INIC-1511 since it is MCBQE64GKMPQ-M1A.One thing worth to mention is that the Zif Ribbon Cable was too long and I had somewhat manage to fold it in into the USB enclosure..Any chance the cable got damaged...On the other hand it was working before..Any other ideas...

10 X, hope you are kidding... Does the external hard drive show up if you connect it to a differnet machine?
Is the external hard drive seen in your BIOS?

It's recognizing the USB 2.0 PATA controller. That's what that "Initio INIC-1511" is.

IMO, it could be that the cable is damaged or that the drive needs to be re-initialized. The ZIF PATA ribbon cables are pretty fragile, so that COULD be it.

Does disk manager show your drive? Or just the controller?

No.NO..my 10X was for thanks and not 10 times.
Plugged the USB 2.0 to my Desktop running XP and it shows up however when I try to open it I get following message F:\ is not accessible..The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.
. BIOS doesn't see it as well..
