Re: AMD Fusion Info Thread
ATI Logo to Dissappear
Since AMD acquired ATI in 2006, the original logo of ATI GPUs have been retained. But according to a recent post at kitguru, the logo is going to be terminated by the end of this year. It’s AMD’s marketing strategy to keep the ATI logo, and the strategy did work during its competition against the chip giant Intel.
More than one logo undoubtedly means even more money, resources and efforts. Additionally, AMD is going to release the new-generation Fusion APU which integrates CPU and GPU. The usage of ATI logo is going to cause confusion to consumers, so the company is said to consider canceling the ATI logo. If the rumors are true, the new logos should already have been created and approved.Lenovo X220

Re: AMD Fusion Info Thread
Calling the new GPU AMD Radeon HD 6000 makes no difference to me.
I think its a smart move to unify all the stuff AMD owns to a single brand.
Looking forward to AMD Catalyst 11.1.

And that is why Dell does not lead the industry in mostPC's sold per quarter any more, not for a couple years. Both HP and Acer passed Dell up, and both offer AMD options. Link
