vertex should be better than samsung. aren't 256gb vertex around?

Vertex drives have some lockup issues that the Samsung do not. Far as real world consistent performance, my understanding is that Samsung is on top. The Summit might be worth a look at too though. It uses a Samsung controller. It's slightly slower than the Vertex but does not seem to suffer any lockup issues.

Vertex does perform slightly better overall but it's twice the price too.

ah i see. apparently the article i had read was merely more rumors. i dare say that cnet article is from a slightly more trustworthy source :P
