    Default Upgrade to Extreme Edition

I came by this post in the HP thread and was hoping it could get more attention here.

    Hello fellows,
My name is Mauro Baudino. This is my first post.
I am an enthusiast owner of a customized pavilion zd7000 with the following features:
    Processor: Pentium 4 w/ HT 3.2 GHz
    Chipset: Intel® 865 chipset family
    Ram: 1Gb
    NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5600 128Mb

A few months after my purchase, I have seen that it is possible to order the Pavilion zd7000 with a Pentium 4 Extreme Edition 3.2 GHz.
I would like to know how I can upgrade my laptop to the Pentium 4 Extreme Edition.
Is it something complicate to do?

Is it possible to upgrade to the extreme edition in this case?

That's a different processor. You'd have to buy one and repalce the current one. I don't know why you'd want to do that though, I doubt you need the performance gain, but maybe I'm wrong.

If upgrades were based off "need" alone, they wouldn't happen as often...

True, if you're not a super die-hard ultimate ultragamer, its not worth spending a thousand bucks for something you're not going to benefit off of.
