Default Which format is best for ReadyBoost?

My laptop is in my sig, and has a 5-in-1 card reader that supports the following formats:

Secure Digital (SD) card/SDIO
MultiMediaCard (MMC)
Memory Stick
Memory Stick Pro
xD-Picture Card

Base your opinion on the following: Cost, speed and performance. I'm after a 2GB card by the way.

SD cards I've heard were good value.

SD cards have good prices usually. I know the memory sticks are usually a bit more costly, as are the XD. As for the speed, some SDs have different speeds, so if this is an issue, look at the faster ones =). I don't know anything about the performance though, sorry =(

i heard the speed is suppose to be at least X80.
I tried my x50 SD card and it did not work with readyboost.

This is the best option I've found so far:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820233043

It's surprisingly cheap considering it's the only flash device I found that is specifically designed to take advantage of Vista's ReadyBoost feature. I'd say Vista certification is pretty important considering the wide variability in flash performance even among identical model drives. The drawback is it's only available in a max 1GB size version. However, 1GB is probably the sweet spot for ReadyBoost anyway, and it's cheaper.

There's a user generated list of compatible devices you can find here:
http://www.grantgibson.co.uk/misc/readyboost

I couldn't find much as far as performance comparison is concerned.

Thanks Starcub, although I'm definitely looking for cards. USB devices stick out of your laptop, and I'd like to keep things neat and minimalistic.

I have a Toshiba A135-S4427 laptop with a built in 5-in-1 Media card Reader, I have been looking at the Transcend Ultra Speed 150x 4GB Secure Digital Card at Newegg.com -
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820163159

I'd buy it right now to use strictly for ReadyBoost, but I can't find any specs from Toshiba as to weather or not my Built-in card reader will support the 4GB card.

I figure for $40, If it helps even a little bit, its worth it, and the more I use the laptop, and install more stuff, it will come into play more and more.

I'm staying away from USB flash drives only because i'd rather have a Flash card that sticks out only 1mm out of the system, instead of a USB Flash Drive that sticks out 3-4".

That's why I'd prefer a card as well.
