    Default Meaker goes C2D!

Well with the 965 chipset migrating to Matx the way was open for me to jump aboard with:

Asus P5B-VM G965, only raids with the external connector but I dont mind running my two alone.
C2D 4300, well it only has a 800mhz FSB, but then again it has a higher multi

I'm also picking up vista home premium upgrade through an education reseller (Im a uni student). Getting the OS tomorrow and the hardware thursday.

Lol, well I am getting the stuff tomorrow (today since its 1:45AM) and I will keep you all updated, I could not resist putting vista on my current system and even though I will do a clean install it migrated VERY well.

I just hope this motherboard hits a decent FSB :s

Congratulations Maker, the Core 2 Duo is a monster and I'm sure you'll have your fun with it. As for me, it'll be a few months (at least) before I get something different.

Stick with XP. Vista's an erosion of your rights through it's horrid DRM and will kill performance for very little benefit except paying to deal with bugs for a little eye-candy.

    Congrats though

Well sorry I was slow getting back to you guys, the motherboard needed a bios flash to support the e4300. The chip on the board is soldered in meaning you cant remove it and flash it in anotherboard. I had to do it at the shop

    Anyway its all working now:
