P-6860FX motherboard replacement
I need to replace my motherboard. Where can I get one? Also, how removable is CPU and GPU? If soldering is required, I'm going to need to pay someone.

Re: P-6860FX motherboard replacement
GPU is soldered to the motherboard, so replacement should already have it. CPU is socketed and easily replaceable. Where to get one? i don't know. I'd start with Google.
MacBook Pro (Mid 09) 13", Acer AS1410, Gateway P-6831FX

Your best option would be just to send it in for repair.....
Gateway 6860FX
x7800 2.6/800 @ 3.0
8800M GTS @ 640/1500/940
320GB HDD 5400 RPM
4GB 667 RAM

actually my best option would be to do it myself since it would cost me the least with the same result.

true, so how do u know its the motherboard, what was the pc doing ???
also the cpu is reovable, the gpu is already on the mobo, to get the cpu out u untickten a screw, and lift it out.
replacement borads and cpus are easily found new and used on ebay

Re: P-6860FX motherboard replacement
laptop's problem: I press the power button, the media bar lights turn on, the hard drive spin, the fan doesn't spin, and I get no video.
I have no idea where to buy the motherboard. I emailed so many ppl.
