If you've already participated (Gamer and Moto), lets get some new folks involved for Andrew's research....it doesnt make much sense to send the same people multiple tubes.

Gentleman's Agreement to post their before and after test results on this thread.

Andrew
Thanks again. As soon as I have meaningful data I will post results.

capper5016, good job with the pictures.

@Capper:-

a). I bought my own tube from ebay; I didnt mooch off Andrew 1st time round. Besides, perhaps through lack of clarity on my part, it seems like Andrew has discounted my 1st time results (posted p.27-28 of this thread IIRC) and has reported them as "Null - not reported". I'd like to rectify that.

b). The vast majority of X9100 users are reporting lower temps with ICD7 application; I cant help but feel that my ICD7 application was botched in some way. I dont have anymore to apply so I thought i might take advantage of Andrew's kind offer now.

c). The remainder will be donated to my cousin's MSI GT725; results on both my 7805u (2nd time round) + MSI GT725 will be posted again.

I'm very interested in testing this. I actually just bought AS compound and cleaner and was ready to go at it this weekend. But now I'm going to hold off if I can try this. Thanks! PM on the way.

p.s. I may have inadvertently sent you 2 PMs. If so, my apologies!

I'm not trying to be the thermal compound police.... sorry if it sounded that way. The point was to get as many different people as possible to test the ICD7 with their notebooks...basically to verify my results and introduce ICD7 to another market (non desktop). My point really is, this isnt a "giveaway" in the sense that Andrew is just giving away tubes to people....this is how he makes his living.

I think my results have been pretty much verified, and ICD7 proven to be a good thermal compound for CPU usage, and also as a replacement for thermal pads and such.

I would love to get a tube too. I plan to do a copper mod on my XPS M1330, which is overheating, with GPU temp reaching 100°C under stress, and about 85°C normal use. I sent you a PM. I'd appreciate if you sent me one tube of ICD (even half a tube if you have used some. I need just enough to perform that copper mod). I will post the temps after the mod. Thank you!
