I'm playing on veteran too, and I agree.the difficulty feels right and doesn't get me frustrated like D3 inferno eventually does especially when you run into a group of tough elites.
Load times on a Samsung 830 ssd are still pretty long (about 6 seconds) for big areas, but not that bothersome. Loving this game still and I hope Blizzard takes a few pointers or two from Runic if they want the Diablo franchise to survive.

Re: Torchlight II (Discussion thread only, no spoilers!)
Oh, I thought you were still trying to choose one. Yeah, they're all fun to play but Berserker is instant gratification without having to figure out much. I, too, play Embermage and haven't touched my other chars since.
Yeah, my loading at max 6 seconds is a little slow for my specs. I'm lvl 36 now, I think? I'm about to finish up Act II. I'm not completely outclassed by mobs because I do mow them down for the most part but the bosses are still challenging. It's just right. The degree of difficulty and fun and reward for my grind is in perfect balance.
I explore entire maps. I uncover EVERYTHING. Every rock, board, chest, etc. are flipped and opened.
I also noticed many D2 sounds. Hahaha.
I'm playing on Veteran. I haven't tried any other yet.Malibal Satori P170EM

Re: Torchlight II (Discussion thread only, no spoilers!)
Anyone have performance drops in big fights with AMD cards? Normally it's around 60 but when there's lots of skills flying off it can drop to 30's... Also I I got FPS of 10 during that phase beast jelly level with the 100+ jellys.

I've noticed slow downs during big fights with lots of spells and effects
It kinda goes into slow motion for about a seconds then recovers.
That's with a 680m

Re: Torchlight II (Discussion thread only, no spoilers!)
Mine is smooth as butter and I'm almost lvl 50 with some crazy, epic battles under my belt. I have settings all set to the highest with AA and VSync.
Do any of you guys ever feel like you wish you had FRAPS or whatever on to record the boss fights you're in at that very moment but it's too late? Lol. TL2 has the most epic boss fights I've ever been in, in any ARPG. Ever.Malibal Satori P170EM

Re: Torchlight II (Discussion thread only, no spoilers!)
Weird. I had 12.4 installed and going to try 12.8 tonight. I also notice that the 12.7 CAP3 has a profile for Torchlight that says it boosts performance for Single GPU ( I have single GPU)... Never had experience with using a CAP before, do I just install it and it starts automatically? Or is there some other setting I have to turn on.

I just found the places to find all the robotic parts, but I don't want to ruin it for everyone by posting it here. PM me if you want the locations.

Re: Torchlight II (Discussion thread only, no spoilers!)
Haven't had the time to play too much of Torchlight 2 (mostly co-oping Borderlands 2). Just finished act 1, engineer is pretty awesome but I'll have to give the other classes a try as well. Also can I just say how much better arpg's are without having to connect to a server (D3, POE). I live in NZ and I struggle to get playable pings on both games, POE is the worst even though its being developed in NZ.
