i miss how old d2 was...these are last evidence that i have of my characters

Ya as many would see I was a fanboi of diablo 3 hardcore. Now i've beaten it on normal and nightmare now hell.

TBH I am boring of it quick, i figured there was no way blizzard couldn't knock this one out of the park.

Sadly I find my self moving back to tera alot because d3 can't keep my attention.

I think it was all the hype and waiting maybe over estimated on my part.

Anyone a little disappointed too?

Diablo 2 is a lot more complex and never before have Diablo been so alike a certain other game (Torchlight)

I listened to part 2 (I had already heard part 1, it's been posted here before)

I stopped listening once I heard "because of the change in maximum level from 99 to 60"

Whatever he was talking about in part 2 is flat wrong.

Part 1, I can understand. It would be nice if the relative ratio of required gear:skill to beat inferno was somewhat different. Of course, it wouldn't really be Diablo anymore, but I still think it would be better. And of course, that change would make it LESS like Diablo 2, so it's not fair to blame ActiBlizzard for ruining Diablo 3 over it.

I completely agree about the weak story, and especially the weak dialog. And I would like an option to auto-skip cutscenes (after you've seen them all - it is annoying to have to manually skip them)

People are review bombing Diablo 3 because of the DRM and rocky launch. It's "whatever", not explanation of anything significant, much less "total explanation".

Lots of games that are good (or average, or bad) get review bombed for a variety of reasons. Doesn't mean much. Seriously- scroll down the first page and count the zeros, and then think about how much stock you should put into the average user-score. A vast majority of the 0 reviews are either primarily or solely complaining about the online nature of the game.

It is a pretty dead horse, and blizz is so slow when responding to critique that some doubt if they are gonna do anything about it.
On the other hand, they nerf "exploit" real quick though.

I don't really want to call those exploit though when blizz toke 10yrs(maybe say 5yrs if they start from scratch) and they have a "beta".

I have no idea what you guys are talking about. I personally enjoyed it even especially there level mechanics. 60 hours of gameplay simply reaching lvl 60, multiplied by characters and hardcore without inferno is easily 300 hours of pretty much non repetitive play.

Not only that they at least attempted to make farming non repetitive by there nephalem mechanic. Personally enjoyed the game a lot and will continue to

D3 is a very decent game in its own right, it's just so different from the prequels that the target audience is completely different - hence a lot of people who were huge fans of D2 or even D1 and get D3 are suddenly disappointed that it's not what they expected.

My childhood was based off blizzard games I don't think that's true at all.

If you just look at D1, I think it is a huge improvement and kept many of D1 traits.

It just that D2 have alot of innovative aspect that some feel D3 is a step backward.
