IMO it's not that the gpu can't run it max, but that the game isn't really optimized. No matter how super powerful your gpu is, it won't run the game 60+ fps.

The game still looks amazing. Battlefield 3 is the only game with better graphics, hence why Crysis still runs badly for you guys.

By the way Crysis was released in 2007, not 2009.

Thats why there are graphic settings in game, so if your gpu isnt powerful enough or you try to play it on some sort of mobile calculator you reduce graphic quality. Whats your problem? If you cant afford decent gpu to max Crisis its not developer's fault. Richer people / desktop gamers shouldnt suffer because you cant afford good gaming rig. k?

new 2012 hd3000 cant run crisis either. Its not about being new, its about being powerful.

The laughable part, with much respect, is when you said that switching to ps3 eases your pain.

Look, if you have a 675m or similar (580m,485m), run Crysis 1 64 bit which has dx10 feature.
Set all the details to high, set 2xAA, set resolution to 720p, limit the framerate to 30fps=profit.

It will look (and still) above and beyond console versions but plays with the same framerate.

That's why they are calling you a troll. Hell, you could even cap the framerate to 30fps and switch to 1080p without bothering too much.

Some game settings are made for extreme or dual gpu systems, that's the way it goes, because pc gamers master race demand these settings since they're shelling a lot of money on gaming systems.

In the end the games doesn't play differently between settings, just the eye candy gets a bump.

still cant run game like crysis that was released in 09 in ultra with everything to the max. whats up with that? also i never get why pc game designers keep pushing boundaries? i get game graphic needs to be better but is it necessarily to make them so high that new gpu n cpu cant even handle it with max settings? or worst gets outdated within a year. why cant they be like consoles, the graphic is not awesome but good enough to play n the fact that it wont be outdated at least for 6 years. i have own a gaming laptop and it is just so hard to keep up. finally couldnt take it anymore and turned to ps3.

PS3 are great they are the only consoles that allow you to run literally any video file with any codec when it is ripped and the majority of Bluray too from a USB stick.

I dunno what else it is used for but for video files...
