I actually think this looks like the best COD atmosphere-wise in years. Near-future sci-fi lends itself to over-the-top COD plots better than real-world conflicts do, and trivializing real-world conflicts where real people are currently getting killed or maimed has never felt good to me (I've got this same complaint about all shooters that try to recreate real-world conflicts).
