Hah, it was a midrange chip to begin with, a monster of one to be sure, but still a mid range one

675M = 580M, we already know that.

Nvidia's core strat is not as clear as amds at this point so its all pure speculation.

PLEASE let the GTX 670 end up as GTX 680M/690M
It is faster than 7970 and completely crush the 7950. LOL
I even think the GTX 660 Ti will be about equal to 7950 if not slightly faster

Yes. But the fact that it consumes more power than HD7970 and near 50W more than reference Hd7870 means, than they will have to cut this card powerdraw about half to get 100W TDP GTX680M.
This 150W TDP claim for this card is complite joke.
75W TDP of GT660M makes more and more sence now...
They pretty much need to pull rabit out of the hat, to beat HD7970M with this, at the same power consumption. Im not sure they are up for this.
